The Swiss media and technology company Ringier has announced that it has acquired the software and real estate marketplace company Homsters for an undisclosed amount.
The deal comes three years after Ringier first partnered with Homsters to work with its marketplace sites in Poland and Switzerland to develop technology and marketing solutions for the primary real estate sector. Homsters had previously raised funds from Ringier, along with Online Marketplaces founder Simon Baker, back in August 2021.
CEO Dmitriy Aleksandrov and the Homsters team based in Ukraine and Kazakhstan will continue to work with Ringier's portfolio of real estate marketplace businesses.
Axel Konjack, Head Global Marketplaces Ringier AG, said of the deal: “Ringier believes in the potential of the new development sector for our real estate marketplaces in Switzerland, Central Eastern Europe and Africa. With Homsters, we will scale a proven solution across our portfolio internationally as well as providing transactional services to third parties.”
Andrew Olejnik, co-founder of Homsters said: “We are happy about the successful acquisition of Homsters by our partner Ringier, with whom we have been successfully working with in the last few years. We are excited that we have managed to build a value proposition and a team, which will further develop under the roof of one of the most innovative investors in digital marketplaces.“
Founded in 2015, Homsters is a leading provider of automated sales and marketing solutions for the sale of new property developments. The Company’s end-to-end marketing platform promotes new developments across all online channels, captures buyer leads, nurtures these leads, and distributes closable leads to affiliated and in-house sales teams. This allows the platform operator to earn a commission on the deals it creates.
The company also runs real estate marketplace sites in Ukraine and Kazakhstan (where it is a market leader). The company was something of a pioneer in fully end-to-end real estate transactions.
