According to the UAE's Gulf News, Hyderabad-based jobs portal WisdomJobs, an easy and efficient site for talent looking for jobs on a local, national, or global scale, with a reported 30 million registered users, may have faced some criticism.

WisdomJobs' CEO and Founder Ajay Kolla has been hailed as a role model for young entrepreneurs, appearing routinely on TV and giving speeches at public events. Leading financial daily, Economic Times, published an article about Mr. Kolla, featuring his success story; how he turned a small start-up into a multi-billion empire. The company was also highlighted in 2016 as the country's top SME 50 index, and it was awarded a Certificate of Excellence by India's biggest apex trade association, the Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ASSOCHAM).

However, as per the Gulf News' article, Wisdom Jobs was accused of not posting any valid jobs. Some employment seekers using the site claimed to have encountered either fake job posts or copied from other recruitment portals. They also stated that phone interviews arranged by Wisdom Jobs with prospective employers may have instead been answered by call center agents working for the jobs portal.

Wisdom Jobs contacted our publication to offer clarification on the accusations. The company's CEO and Founder, Ajay Kolla, explained in an email addressed to Online Marketplaces that the statements made by the Gulf News were untrue and as such, proven to be false in a court of law. Mr. Kolla produced a scan of the court documents as a reference.
