British market leader Rightmove has announced the appointment of Matthew Bushby as its new Chief Marketing Officer.
Bushby joins the portal from food delivery service Just Eat where he was the Managing Director for the UK and Ireland. He replaces Iain Kennedy who held the role for more than eight years.
CMO isn't the only senior role that is seeing change at Rightmove. In May the portal announced that it would be searching for a new CEO as, after 16 years in the job, Peter Brooks-Johnson would be stepping down.
The company has also announced this week that it will offer training for all agents listing on its portal.
The online course (Level 3 Certificate for Estate and Letting Agents) is free but the exam at the end of the course which is run by a third-party industry body will cost £215+VAT. The syllabus covers legislation, property marketing, lead generation and codes of practice.
Rightmove is not the only real estate portal offering to train its customers. Australian market leader REA Group offered agents a free six-week digital salesperson course back in July 2021.
