The Spanish real estate portal operator idealista has announced that it has agreed to acquire the Italian agent services company Regold for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2011 by Dr Diego Caponigro and based near Milan, Regold employs a team of 28 and has more than 7,000 agent customers on its books. The company offers services such as training courses, digital signature software, legal assistance and property surveys.
"We are extremely happy that Regold and Dr. Caponigro join idealista. This acquisition expresses the virtuous growth model of our company, which aims to expand by focusing on the excellence of companies, projects and people", said Jesus Encinar, co-founder of idealista.
As for his part, Caponigro, who will now be part of idealista's management team, said of the acquisition, "Joining idealista is both a great recognition for Regold's work, and an important opportunity to grow and improve the entire sector."
The acquisition of Regold follows similar acquisitions of two Italian software companies providing services for the agent community. In 2020 idealista bought out Gestim, the creator of software to upload listings, and Miogest, a provider of agency management software. More recently idealista acquired fellow Madrid based company Rentger which specialises in rental management software.
