French property portal Bien’ici has launched a technology platform focused on sales of new property projects.

Elixir aims to provide a complete e-commerce solution for real estate developers and will include the supply of reservation contracts and the collection of deposits, as well as offering customer contact management and other marketing tools.

The new offering from France’s third-largest property portal has been developed with help from communications agency Oswald Orb. David Benbassat, Chief Executive Officer of Bien’ici, said Elixir will support the customer throughout their journey:

“Our two structures are joining forces to revolutionize the online sale of new real estate in France by setting up a 100% digital sales process."

"The objective of this new platform is to remove the brakes on the purchase,” he added.

The agency-owned portal will generate revenue from this new initiative through a subscription business model with Benbassat telling French agency publication Immomatin that a subscription for 30 units would cost approximately €15,000.

The launching of an end-to-end e-commerce solution might be seen as an odd choice for a portal company set up to protect the interests of its agent owners, but according to Benbassat, Elixir compliments rather than competes with in-person sales and will actually generate more interest for the industry as a whole.

Having received €23 million in funding from members of The National Federation De L'Immobilier (FNAIM) which owns the portal, Bien'Ici has been leaning into the new build market recently announcing new tools for developers as recently as July.

The portal is currently in a clear third place behind Axel Springer owned verticals SeLoger and Logic-Immo and Adevinta owned sites LeBonCoin and A Vendre A Louer.
