Corporate travel hotel booking portal, Roomex, has appointed a new CEO after its former one left the business earlier this year.
Garry Moroney takes over the reins at the Ireland-based company, having moved from grocery e-commerce brand Clavis Insight, which he founded and ran from January 2008.
Roomex Co-Founder and CEO Jack Donaghy moved on from the company to "pursue other interests."
Donaghy's departure came just six months after Roomex secured a €8 million Series A funding round from Draper Esprit and others. Moroney is expected to start in the new role in September.
The company had also previously raised a €3.5 million round in October 2016.
The 2018 Series A funding was secured to further develop the company's hotel booking platform for small and medium businesses and to expand beyond Ireland and the United Kingdom.
The hotel self-booking tool allows employees and travel managers to search, book, manage and pay for properties in a single interface.
It currently serves more than 50,000 business travelers from companies such as Musgrave Group, Dairygold, Kepak, Mitsubishi and Muller.
