Students and professors of the University of Piura, Lima campus, have launched a digital bank that will allow discovering new musicians in the Peruvian scene. This is Impactados.pe, a platform that seeks to revolutionize the music industry in our country, making it more open and plural.

"We have so many musicians and so talented, but where are they? Where can we find them?" Asks Diego Dibós, singer and producer. "They are invisible, do you know why? There are no spaces that bring them together," he says.

To join you must follow two simple steps: register as a user and create a profile. Then you can upload a video showing your talent. The search engine on the page allows you to filter the videos; either guided by the keywords, the type of instrument used, as well as the genre (rock, pop, hip hop, salsa, reggae, etc.).

What this proposal seeks is to create a community that can gather all this talent, generate new job opportunities and establish contacts. So far 87 profiles have been created and 109 videos have already been uploaded.

"We are not musicians, but we are going to transform the Peruvian music industry," says Renato Arce, a student of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the University of Piura - UDEP.

"At the university we are constantly looking for ways to contribute to society. We believe that in the music industry there is a gap between decision makers and artists, and just Impacted is born to close that gap," he concludes.

In this way, the University of Piura seeks to transform different industries, through projects like this, that connect the main actors of each sector, in order to enhance the culture and diversify the economy of our country.
