Shine.com leverages deep learning for candidate and recruitment mapping

Shine.com can boast being the second largest job platform in India: currently, they have over 8 million active candidates looking for work, and more than 300,000 listings.

“When recruiters post jobs on the portal to search for suitable candidates, there has to be a right match of candidates on the basis of skill sets,” explains Madhukar Kumar, Chief Analytics Officer at Shine.com

Showing results of candidates with similar skill sets to the recruiter is what Shine calls candidate-to-candidate matching. In the same manner, there are three other matching types: job-to-job, job-to-candidate, and candidate-to-job. 

With the right algorithms at the back-end, the company finds suitable and relevant matches for candidates and recruiters both.
