With this, the amount allocated this year by the regional government to promote the labor integration of people with disabilities reaches €75.1 million.
This amount that has just been approved allows a 5% increase in the salaries of these workers, derived from the rise in the Minimum Interprofessional Salary (SMI) approved by the State for 2019.
This salary increase is centered on those with difficult or complicated employability due to their disabilities and are outside the protected market of the Special Employment Centers - companies whose main objective is to secure a paid position for people with disabilities by performing productive work.
The beneficiaries of this extraordinary call for aid are the Special Employment Centers that have already been creditors of ordinary subsidies in 2019. The eligibility period includes payrolls between January 1 and December 31 of this year alongside the additional summer and Christmas wages.
The recipients will be the workers hired by these CEE who have cerebral palsy, severe mental illness, or intellectual disability - including people with autism spectrum disorders - with a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%.
The increase will also reach workers with physical or sensory disabilities with a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 65%.
