Ex Savills exec joins SquareFoot as second in command

Former Savills boss has been brought onto the SquareFoot team.

Shortly after raising $16 million in funding for its online office listing platform, SquareFoot announced it has landed a veteran real estate executive as its second in command.

Michael Colacino, who spent 16 years as President of Savills, has joined the property technology startup as President, SquareFoot announced.

Colacino is credited with driving the merger that created Savills Studley in 2014. He led the team that brought TimeWarner to its Columbus Circle location and also guided TimeWarner's relocation to Hudson Yards.

SquareFoot CEO and Co-Founder Jonathan Wasserstrum called Colacino a “dream hire” who brings 30 years of experience to the eight-year-old company.
