In late December we had the pleasure of interviewing Brian Requarth as part of our 'Property Portal Watch en Español' virtual conference. The VivaReal co-founder spoke candidly about his experience in the real estate sector in Latin America and why he believes the development of PropTech in the region is still "in minute one of the game".

In the interview, Brian also told us about his new venture, Latitud, a community for founders from the region to get the support, advice and access to capital that they need to make their businesses grow. To our surprise, Brian told us that for the moment Latitud is a philanthropic venture which is not yet seeking to monetize its mentoring of up and coming startups in the region and that the venture was born from a desire to see founders given the advice that our own Simon Baker and others gave him in the early days of Viva Real.

The Viva Real co-founder and serial investor is about to launch a new book named 'Viva The Entrepreneur' aimed at guiding entrepreneurs through the journey of founding and growing their businesses. The first 28 pages of the book, including a forward by Endeavor co-founder Linda Rottenburg, are available as a downloadable preview and are well worth a read.

Brian didn't ask us to plug his book. We just read the introduction and thought it would be of interest to our readers.
