India’s government will pay INR 4.36 billion (USD 61.4 million) over three years to expand the platform, which will be known as Future Skills Prime, with prime referring to “programme for reskilling/upskilling of IT manpower for employability.”
The programme aims to upskill or reskill more than 400,000 IT professionals in emerging technologies.
“In the digital world trained workforce will become India’s biggest competitive advantage,” said Shri Shankar Prasad, union minister for electronics and IT. “The government is committed to work with the IT Industry and Nasscom to create India Digital Talent Stack that will propel India into a leadership position in the digital world.”
