Los Angeles mayor debuts job platform for talent affected by COVID

Eric Garcetti, current Mayor of Los Angeles, California, has facilitated the launch of a new job portal created by the city to aid locals whose livelihoods have been impacted by the recent pandemic.

Via the new LA Jobs Portal, Angelenos facing an uncertain employment situation can turn to a wide range of resources to connect with jobs available throughout the city.

“The new Safer at Home order brings new challenges for our families,” Garcetti said. “I know the impact is being felt across the city.”

Garcetti also asked Angelenos to stay home unless they are having respiratory difficulties, to prevent flooding emergency rooms. He encouraged social distancing, and did his best to spread a message of hope.
