The market is stabilizing and companies are releasing the numbers from April 2020. But how has the US market as a whole stood up to the problems that have arisen from the pandemic?

According to the US Census Bureau, new home sales in April were up 0.6% from March, to 623,000 (SAAR). Sales were down 6.2% year-over-year.

Median sales price of new houses sold in April of this year was $309,900, which is down 5.2% from March 2020.

The Census data showed the inventory of new homes for sale in April was only down 1.8% from March and down just 3% year-over-year.

The general outlook is that things are on the up. The market is stabilizing and experts have said that the worst is behind us.
