Switching gears away from COVID-centric real estate news, Realtor.com has announced that Rachel Morley was named the new Chief Product Officer.
Morley has deep experience in the world of creating innovative products and technologies to help organize customer needs.
David Doctorow, CEO of Move, Inc., said:
"We're extremely excited to have Rachel lead our product strategy moving forward, continuing to evolve our consumer experience and advance realtor.com®'s mission to make buying, selling, and living in homes easier and more rewarding for everyone."
Morley was most recently Senior Vice President of Product at Realtor.com. Before joining the company, she held a number of positions at real estate giant, REA Group, including holding the position of General Manager. She is also an entrepreneur, having co-founded product development agency, Cogent.
On the promotion, Morley said:
"At realtor.com® our goal is to reimagine an intuitive and individualized experience for consumers, connecting them with our network of trusted professionals to achieve their property goals. I'm excited to take on this new role and lead an amazing team that is truly passionate about helping people find the perfect place to call home."
Realtor.com was not immune to the troubles that arose surrounding the global coronavirus pandemic. The company announced layoffs within Move, Inc.'s employment circle, and other cost-cutting measures to make due. But, as the virus slows and the market bounces back, business is going back to the usual wind and grind. The company had released recent numbers to show the uptilt in web traffic and consumer demand. Now, the company has begun promotions. Will the staff be brought back?
