Continuing across the globe with our new infographic series, we turn from South America to the Middle East, where we’ve researched and showcased the top social media profiles within the real estate industry.

Portal Social Media Rankings Middle East

Facebook

Starting with Facebook, the most popular social media account belongs to OpenSooq.com, a horizontal that includes property listings that is present in a number of markets across the region. Its Facebook page garners an impressive 3.3 million followers- one of the largest accounts in the Middle East.

Second in line is Aqarmap.com, an Egyptian property portal giant that currently has over 1 million followers on its Facebook account.

The third most popular Facebook account in the Middle East is PropertyFinder. Headquartered in the UAE, PropertFinder has almost as many finders as Aqarmap.com. In fact, there is less than a 100,000 follower difference. A close call considering the number one spot is taken by an account with over 2 million more followers than the second place holder.

Twitter

Twitter seems the slimmest when it comes to Middle Eastern property portals. Taking the top spot is Sa.Aqar.fm, a Saudi real estate listing giant, with 122,000 followers.

Second place is dubizzle, another horizontal taking on the UAE market. Dubizzle currently has approximately 47,800 followers on its Twitter account.

The company with the third most follower count in the Middle Eastern market is Aqarmap with 37,300.

LinkedIn

When it comes to the professional social media outlet, the Middle Eastern company with the largest following goes to PropertyFinder. A giant in its own market, PropertyFinder made it on the list for Facebook but not Twitter. It’s made up for those losses with having an impressive LinkedIn profile, holding over 106,000 followers on its account.

The second most popular LinkedIn account in the Middle Eastern market is dubizzle with more than 72,000 followers.

Third place goes to Bayut, which is backed by EMPG. Maybe having such a huge support system will reflect in its social media profiles moving forward. Regardless, the company’s LinkedIn profile currently holds 66,000 followers and is growing.

When it comes to this specific region, Facebook takes the cake as the most popular social media profile for real estate listing platforms. There is one thing that the top three companies have in common when it comes to Facebook, which could be the reason they hold the top three spots in this ranking: Videos. OpenSooq and Aqarmap both have videos in place of their cover photos and every other post on PropertyFinder is an aesthetically pleasing video as well. Food for thought for those looking to cinch those likes.
