Product and Services Roundup: Zoopla, ViewIt

March 28, 2025

This week's Product Roundup starts in the UK, where it's all about Zoopla...

UK: Zoopla's MyHome product is used by 1.6 million homeowners every month

Zoopla says 40% of its four million MyHome users return to the product each month to track their home’s current value.

The British number two portal reported that 1.6 million users used its MyHome portal to track the value of their homes. Zoopla said this has increased the amount of high-intent and motivated buyers to Zoopla’s agent customers by 49% compared to March 2024.

Zoopla’s MyHome portal lets potential buyers find the best local agents to market the property, and check potential demand for the home, the average number of days on the market, the average selling price in the area, and which properties are selling nearby.

Richard Hayes, COO at Zoopla, said:

"We’re doing everything we can at Zoopla to get the market moving and ensure a continuous pipeline of serious sellers for agents. Priming these future sellers through our MyHome proposition is a crucial component of this, with lots more exciting innovations to come in this space in the near future.”

Zoopla launches ‘Show Me a House' video series

Zoopla has launched a new social media video series, "Show Me a House," designed to bring unique property listings to a wider audience through TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. Hosted by comedian Farah Sharp, the series blends real estate with entertainment, offering a fresh take on the traditional house tour.

The series follows Sharp as she travels the UK, meeting local agents and exploring the country’s most distinctive homes. Early episodes have already gained traction, with more than 70,000 views across social platforms. Among the standout properties featured is a tiny seven-foot-wide London home and the now-viral ‘bank robber’ pink house in Notting Hill, listed at £1.25 million.

Zoopla’s VP of Marketing Joby Russell sees the project as an opportunity for agents to reach new audiences. He said:

"We’re delighted to launch ‘Show Me a House,’ a series that not only highlights some of the quirky listings we have on the Zoopla site but also delves into the passionate agents and intriguing stories behind their front doors. For agents with unique homes, this is a fantastic opportunity to boost the reach of their listings and generate more interest from prospective buyers."

Zoopla is now calling for more unconventional listings to feature in the first season.

The launch is reminiscent of Zillow Gone Wild, a TV show launched by the United States' largest portal, showcasing the weirdest and wackiest homes for sale across the US.

Asia: ViewIt launches first AVM among other upgrades

Dubai-based, video-first real estate marketplace ViewIt has launched several products, including a new automated valuation model (AVM).

Dubbed 'ValueIt', the new tool is trained on rental and transaction data from the Dubai Land Department, and updated weekly.

Other launches include an improved UI for the company's virtual agent, 'quick tags' for easier searching, scrollable feeds, and the option to save listings.

Farhan Junaid, founder at ViewIt, said:

“The Dubai real estate market lacks easily accessible valuation tools, so this creates an opportunity for us to provide data transparency and empower stakeholders.

"ValueIt is a machine-learning-powered property valuation tool for Dubai properties. It is one of two market intelligence tools on ViewIt, which helps our users make better-informed decisions before buying a property.

"Our model is continuously trained and updated against actual sale and rental prices with an accuracy rate which improves over time as more data is collected and analyzed.

“We offer an API which allows real estate companies, mortgage providers, financial institutions etc. to integrate our valuation engine into their platform seamlessly.”
