The Southeast Asian real estate marketplace operator PropertyGuru has announced that its co-founder Steve Melhuish has stepped down from his position as non-executive director of the board.

Melhuish co-founded the company along with fellow Singapore ex-pat Jani Rautiainen in 2006 and led PropertyGuru as CEO until 2016. He had been a member of the board of directors since the company's foundation. Since stepping down from day-to-day operations, Melhuish has dedicated his time to investment in climate tech companies.

Melhuish's departure from the PropertyGuru board came shortly after the appointment of local businessman Ray Ferguson as Chairman. PropertyGuru's board of directors now includes CEO Hari V Krishnan, Jennifer Macdonald, Melanie Wilson, Rachna Bhasin, Dominic Picone, Prashant Kumar and REA Group boss, Owen Wilson.
