Bristol-based Hybr has raised £3.24M to grow its aggregated platform for first-time renters.
Investors include Blackwood Ventures, Adjuvo and individuals such as Hannah Rothschild, serial entrepreneur Debbie Wosskow Rosemary Leith, and former Bupa CEO Evelyn Bourke—many of whom contributed to Hybr's pre-seed round in May 2022.
Hybr, branded as the platform for younger and first-time renters like students, is already active in 10 UK cities including London, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool and Sheffield—and will use the funds to launch in 20 key university cities in the coming 12 months.
Hannah Chappatte, founder and CEO at Hybr, said:
"This raise will allow us to expand our impact, supporting millions of students to find the right housing and support.
"£3.24M is more than double our original target, which we’re particularly happy with against the backdrop of this year, which has been a challenging time to raise capital."
The company was founded by Chappatte in 2019 and boasts a 98% landlord retention rate (according to the company).
